One of 2026’s huge breakout hit films was Obsession by former YouTube director Curry Barker that made a huge $519m off a $1m budget and when a films earning drop in its second weekend for Obsession its tally actually increased by 39% something that rarely ever happens. So will the now hot director do for a follow up film. Well here’s what we know about Obsession director’s next film and it turns out that it was shot before he had made ‘Obsession’.

Titled “Anything But Ghosts,” the film is set for a May 7th 2027 release date.
The film follows wannabe ‘ghosthunters’ who find themselves in over their heads as things spiral wildly and terrifyingly out of control.
Aaron Paul, Bryce Dallas Howard, Violet McGraw and Chris Reinacher also star in the movie, which was made for just $5 million
Focus has worldwide rights for the film, while Universal Pictures International will handle international distribution.
Barker co-wrote the script with his “Obsession’ star and longtime collaborator Cooper Tomlinson and they both play the co-leads in this new film.
