Everyone has memories of their school days and everyone had that badly behaved troublesome upstart in their class who was an absolute pain. Unfortunately for us he went on to become our Editor (‘You’re fired!’ – Ed). But Bad Apples is features one such child with his teacher at their wits end as to what to do.
Saoirse Ronan stars as a struggling primary school teacher who begins to make some questionable decisions after one of her students is injured.
A great cast led by Ronan with two terrific child actors Eddie Waller as the troublesome pupil and Nia Brown as teacher’s pet make an impressive trio. Adapted from a book the film we had the opportunity to chat Bad Apples director Jonatan Etzler about the making of the film. He explained why casting was not competed until the last moment, the cast improvising, the changes made from the book and of course THAT ending!
