Mark Dacascos has appeared in over 40 feature films including the haunting French film and box office success, Brotherhood of the Wolf, nemesis to Jett Li in Cradle to the Grave, and cult classic action film, ‘Drive’. He has also reprised the iconic role of Wo Fat in the hit CBS series Hawaii 5-0, Mr. Giyera on the hit television show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as the star of the series The Crow. Mark has appeared in numerous television shows such as Chicago P.D., Lucifer, and the hugely popular Hallmark franchise, The Perfect Bride and it’s follow up The Perfect Bride: Wedding Bells. With a huge fan base one of his best roles is opposite Keanu Reeves in John Wick 3 and Mark Dacascos talks about how he got cast in the film at a Q&A alongside Scott Adkins who himself appeared in John Wick 4.
Keanu Reeves said about the film, “There are so many different kinds of action sequences, not only more styles of martial arts and more gunplay, but also motorcycles, horses and dogs, so the training was intense. But honestly, I love it. I love this character and I love the John Wick universe we’ve created.”
Dacascos spoke about the film and how he was approached by director Chad Stahelski and what made him shave his head for the role. It was a whirl wind bit of casting before he found himself on set of John Wick 3 in what would be the most popular film of the franchise earning the most of the franchise at the box office …..until the fourth film was released!
