Now though the industry does its best to ignore them we rather like the Razzies and, much like Ricky Gervais presenting the Golden Globes, it’s keeps the stars and industry grounded. Razzies 2021 winners included the pro-Trump film Absolute Proof, directed by My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell, which offered up ludicrous, unsubstantiated and baseless ‘evidence’ that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Trump. The film was named Worst Picture, while Lindell “won” Worst Actor which is quite some accomplishment as he appeared as himself!
Also on the list of dishonour is singer turned film maker Sia with her film controversial Music which rightly drew a lot of criticism for its depiction of autism which earned it three awards: Worst Director, Worst Actress and Worst Supporting Actress. And Borat Subsequent Moviefilm (which has two Oscar nominations) was a Razzie 2021 winner for Rudy Giulianni’s infamous cameo role winning him Worst Supporting Actor, and also won the award for Worst Screen Combo (with the zip of of his trousers).
